Specialty Medical Care
Like a sturdy building, communication skills need a solid foundation.
Are you worried about your young child’s ability to communicate their wants and needs?
Is your school-age child struggling with academic skills such as literacy, reading or listening comprehension, or expressing themself verbally or in writing?
Does your child have difficulty with social communication skills such as making friends, starting and maintaining conversations, and relating to others?
Does your teen / young adult struggle with academic writing or presentations? Do they have the communication skills to start moving into the adult world - applying for jobs and presenting themselves in the best possible light in an interview?
Do you wonder how you can support your child’s communication needs?
We can help. We identify strengths and challenges, and develop individualized plans tailored to address those needs.
In our practice, we take a family-centered approach and provide strategies that family members can use. We encourage participation in therapy sessions to help family members learn the techniques we are using with your child. This facilitates continued progress when your child is in their natural environment, and empowers all family members to be active participants in a child’s care.
