  •  Shop Hop for Memory Matters: A Community Event Supporting Vital Programs for Families Affected by Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD)

    Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, SC — The vibrant communities of Hilton Head Island and Bluffton are coming together for a special cause with the upcoming Memory Matters Shop Hop in Hilton Head, Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 1-6 PM and Thursday, April 10, 1-6pm in Bluffton.  A selection of local shops will open their doors to support Memory Matters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals affected by cognitive decline and dementia.

    These local businesses will donate 10% of their sales during the event to support Memory Matters programs and services. The proceeds will help provide essential resources, educational workshops, and support groups for families coping with dementia and cognitive challenges, ensuring that these vital services remain available to the Hilton Head and Bluffton communities.

    Driven by a shared passion for supporting families affected by dementia, volunteers, Kim Baretta, Kathryn Mademann, and Julie Martin have dedicated their time and energy to organizing this event. Their commitment to raising awareness and funds for Memory Matters stems from their understanding of the challenges faced by local families. By rallying the community and local businesses, they aim to create a day of fun that directly benefits those in need.
